Pinos Altos is located in the mountainous region of northern Mexico, 220 km west of the city of Chihuahua and 70 km southeast of the Company's La India mine.

Pinos Altos is primarily an underground mining operation, with most of the ore produced from several underground deposits and complementary production from a small open pit.

Ore is treated by one of two processes: conventional processing in a mill for higher-grade ore; and a small amount of heap-leaching for lower grade ore. Gold and silver are recovered using the Merrill-Crowe method, and a refinery produces gold/silver doré bars on site.

For more details and the latest information on the Pinos Altos mine, see the Company’s latest Annual Information Form (opens in new tab) and recent news releases.
