Overview
- The Wasamac gold project was acquired on March 31, 2023, as part of the acquisition of Yamana Gold Inc.’s Canadian gold assets.
- The project includes six mining concessions, five mining leases and a land package that covers over 15 km along the main ore-bearing zone (the Francoeur-Wasa Shear Zone).
- Wasamac hosted probable mineral reserves of 1.38 million ounces of gold (14.8 million tonnes grading 2.9 g/t gold) at December 31, 2025. This was the first declaration of mineral reserves by the Company at Wasamac since its acquisition from Yamana Gold.
- The Company is actively exploring the Wasamac project, which is being considered for development as a satellite underground operation with a planned mining rate of approximately 3,200 tonnes per day and ore potentially transported 100 km to the Canadian Malartic mill for final processing. Wasamac is a key component of the Company’s “Fill the Mill” strategy to utilize excess capacity at the Canadian Malartic processing plant and position Canadian Malartic to ramp-up toward 1 million ounces of annual gold production starting in 2033.
