We are pleased to announce the publication of Global Approach, Regional Focus, Agnico Eagle’s 2024 Sustainability Report. The theme of this year’s report reflects our unwavering commitment to ensuring that as we expand and evolve as an organization, we remain deeply rooted in — and dedicated to — the regions in which we operate. While our vision and goals are global, our strategies are tailored to meet the specific needs and challenges of each region’s environmental, social, and economic contexts.

We are proud to share some highlights from this year’s report:
Addressing Climate Change and Working Towards Net-Zero by 2050: Agnico Eagle maintained its position among the gold industry leaders in GHG emissions performance, achieving an intensity of 0.38 tCO2e per ounce of gold produced. Our efforts to address climate change and work towards net-zero by 2050 remain a cornerstone of our sustainability strategy.
Being a Great Place to Work: We are dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment. In 2024, we focused on leadership training, creating growth opportunities for our Indigenous workforce, and supporting the next generation of mine workers with scholarships and training opportunities. The Dr. Leanne Baker Scholarship and Development Program continued to help women grow into leadership roles, reinforcing our commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP): In 2024, we launched our inaugural RAP, the first of its kind published by a Canadian mining company. This comprehensive strategy sets out our approach to reconciliation with Indigenous communities, reinforcing our dedication to fostering positive relationships and supporting Indigenous Peoples globally.
