Challenges, persistence and impact – our journey down memory lane continues

May 18, 2017

In this latest installment of our “60 on 60” video series we catch up with Anton Adamchik, retired Vice-President, Environment and Exploration and Ebe Scherkus, Agnico’s retired President and Chief Operating Officer, who share their recollections of how faith and persistence in the face of adversity led to the development of Agnico Eagle’s LaRonde mine.

Then, we journey to Nunavut to meet Jason Putumiraqtuq, a northerner Inuk and Agnico Eagle employee, who takes us out on the land as he reflects on the impact that Agnico Eagle has had on his home community of Baker Lake.

Today we are also pleased to announce the launch of our new online and interactive Agnico Eagle Timeline!

We invite you to dig deeper into how we’ve evolved through the decades – learn more about the challenges we’ve overcome as well as our achievements and don’t forget to use our hashtag #AgnicoEagle60 to share with your family and friends!
